Privacy Policy

minyt Games ("we", "us", or "our") develops and operates the mobile application "Slow Garden" (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how and why we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights available to you.

1. Who is responsible for your data

minyt Games, based in Japan, is the data controller responsible for your personal information in connection with the App. For any privacy-related question or request, please contact us at info@minytgames.com or via our contact form.

2. Information we collect

• Anonymous account identifier: When you first open the App, an anonymous account ID is created (via Firebase Authentication) to save your in-game progress. This ID is not linked to your name or any other directly-identifying information unless you contact us or request a gift exchange.
• Email address: Collected only if you choose to request a gift-card exchange, in order to send you the gift code and to help us prevent fraudulent use of the reward system.
• Gameplay data: such as your in-app points balance, days played, and install date. This is used to operate the App's reward system and to detect abuse (for example, unusually rapid point accumulation).
• Device and advertising identifiers: such as your device's advertising ID (IDFA on iOS, subject to Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission, or the Google Advertising ID on Android), collected to serve and measure advertising through Google AdMob.

We do not collect your real name, physical mailing address, or payment card information.

3. How we use your information

• To provide the App's features (saving your progress, processing gift-card exchange requests) — necessary to perform our agreement with you (the App's terms of use).
• To prevent fraud and abuse of the reward system (for example, maintaining a list of email addresses or accounts that have abused the exchange feature) — based on our legitimate interest in keeping the reward system fair for all users.
• To show and measure advertising through Google AdMob — based on your consent, where required by law (for example, the App Tracking Transparency prompt on iOS, or consent collected in regions that require it).
• To improve the App and respond to your inquiries — based on our legitimate interest in operating and improving our service.

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services, which may process data on our behalf or independently, as described in their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, App Check) — used to save your game progress, process gift exchange requests, and protect the App from bots and automated abuse. Firebase Privacy and Security

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share your personal information with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

5. International data transfers

Our service providers (Google Firebase / Google Cloud, Google AdMob) may store and process data in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States and Japan. Google maintains safeguards for international data transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable. By using the App, you understand that your information may be transferred to, and processed in, countries that may have different data protection laws than your own.

6. How long we keep your information

• Your anonymous account ID and gameplay data are kept for as long as you continue to use the App, and are deleted if you request deletion (see Section 7).
• The email address and request details submitted for a gift-card exchange are kept for as long as necessary to process the request and to handle any related inquiry or fraud investigation, and are deleted upon request as described below.
• Where we retain a minimal record for fraud-prevention purposes (for example, an email address associated with abuse of the reward system), we keep only what is necessary to prevent repeat abuse.

7. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights below regarding your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@minytgames.com or via our contact form.

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion — request that we delete your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
• Restriction — request that we limit how we use your data.
• Portability — request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
• Objection — object to our processing of your data, including for advertising.
• Withdraw consent — where our processing is based on your consent, withdraw it at any time, without affecting processing carried out before your withdrawal.

We will respond to verified requests within 30 days. Deletion requests are currently processed manually by our team; we delete the requested data from our systems (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore) once we have verified the request. We may need to retain a minimal record (such as an email address on a fraud-prevention list) even after a deletion request, strictly to prevent repeat abuse of the reward system — if this applies to your request, we will let you know.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

8. Notice to California residents

If you are a California resident, applicable California law (such as the CCPA/CPRA) may give you the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion or correction of it, to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

We do not sell personal information for money. Our use of Google AdMob for advertising involves sharing your device's advertising identifier with Google, which may be considered "sharing" under California law. You can opt out of this by disabling ad tracking in your device settings — for example, by declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt on iOS, or by selecting "Opt out of Ads Personalization" in your Android device's Google settings — or by contacting us using the details in Section 1.

9. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including Firebase App Check, to help protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App.
